When Sara Pezzini meets Lara Croft. By Daniel Lim.
Sara was at home, able finally to find some peaceful time to catch up with everything she had left undone. Boy, was her house in a terrible mess. As she bent over to pick up the magazines below her couch, she came across a letter. Finding the handwriting familiar, she sat down on the couch and began to read the Letter. It a card!!! This is what it said:
"Dear Sara,
How is life? I have just gone through an Amazing Trip where I almost died and never return. Thank God I am still around and Kicking. By the way, My house has been renovated since the last time you came. It would be great if you could come over this Saturday for Tea, How is it? I really hope there wouldn't be any case to crack then. Call me.Yours, Lara Croft."
Gosh!!! Saturday, that's Today!!! Instantly she packed a few nice clothing and dumped it into the luggage, picked up her car keys and coat leaving the house in a mess. (This showed that Sara must have quite a close relationship with Lara) At the Airport, she gave Jake a call and asked him a favor to apply a two-day leave as she is going to England to visit a dear Friend. When Jake tried to say something, she hang up the phone and left to the departure area. On the Plane, sweet memories of Lara and herself spending time together flashed across Sara's Mind. Finally, She was there. Sara stepped out of the Cab, removed her Sunglasses, and views the difference of the Mansion. Suddenly, the Gates opened. Immediately, she was greeted by a well dressed Butler. "This way please, Ms Pezzini." (A very British accent) Sara was lead to the Living room and the butler left to call the Mistress down. While waiting, Sara sat by the Sofa watching the fire burning in the Chimney. Out of no where, a gunshot rang out in the upper room. Following where the sound came from, Sara entered a totally dark room. Stepping out, She activated her WitchBlade before entering but it showed no signs of immediate danger. Feeling a little relieved, Sara picked up her hand pistol and move in. Carefully, she moved quietly but her years of experience as a NYPD cop was of no use as SOMEONE grabbed her neck tightly until she was forced to drop her pistol. It seemed that Sara's Witchblade has failed her again when she needed It most. When Sara was almost breathless, the choking grip was released. Sara dropped to the floor trying to catch her breath and then murmured, "Are you trying ...to kill me, Lara..." Lara helped Sara up and replied : "Of course not or else who is gonna finish all the cookies and bread that I prepared myself as well as the special apricot tea that I brought in China while on a BUSINESS trip there." Then there were giggles from the two girls.
Outside the beautiful garden, near the Fountain which was filled with the sound of rushing water and birds chirping. But there was also laughter and whispers from two ladies who were spending some well deserved quality time together. Talking about the times when both were still in the Exchange Program where Lara spend her summer vacation in Sara's family. They had so much fun and Lara was soon very reluctant to return back to England. But they continued their relationship by sending letters and photographs consistently. Often Lara would sometimes drop by in US just to visit Sara and her family.
All those sweet-talking ended suddenly with the sound of alarms and gunshots in the House. Quickly Lara went to pick up a Shotgun near the Fountain (Secret Hiding Place) and warned Sara that this was for real. Slowly they moved into the House trying to rid of those unwelcome house guests. Sara slipped and falled down on the steps which alerted one of the Invaders. But Lara shot the invader dead before he could do anything. Sara thanked her and moved on. The WitchBlade suddenly glowed and warned Sara of Danger! But the warning came too late, there were two invaders behind the Door. One of which Lara handled beautifully but she didn't realize the other one was behind her. Sara's WitchBlade (Lara didn't know about the WitchBlade) killed that Invader and said: "That makes us even, Scumbag!" After killing all the Invaders, they spotted an injured invader. Removing his mask, Lara questioned him of their real intention, where they came from and who was the MASTERMIND behind all this. But he bit his own tongue and died. Instantly, Lara dashed into the one of the rooms and activated a Secret Door and went in, Sara followed after her.
"Shit! They took the Dagger!!!" Lara then explained to Sara that in her recent exploration, she stumbled upon the legendary Dagger of Xian under a secret passage of the Great Wall of China. It is one of the seals of the 7 Destruction. She also mentioned how she got the dagger and transferred it to a place where the other 3 pieces of Scion are kept. Suddenly, the WitchBlade reacted wildly to the presence of the Scions. Its tentacles were like trying to destroy it but it was well protected against the attack. Sara couldn't control the Witchblade and so she left the place with Lara.
"Is that the Witchblade, Sara. How did you get it???" asked Lara. Surprised, Sara asked how did she known about the Witchblade. Then they proceed to the library where Lara picked and opened an ancient Book. Lara explained that there were 7 Seals of Destruction and 7 Seals of Creation. The Dagger of Xian and The WitchBlade were the Seals of Destruction. The Scions and the person who wields Darkness were the Seals of Creation. They don't mixed well and always fight against it other. For that Lara had came prepared. To protect each item in the room with Shied which was why the WitchBlade couldn't destroy the Scions. This also explained why WitchBlade always wanted Jackie's life in family ties.
Since Lara knew so much about the WitchBlade, she told Lara about how she recovered the WitchBlade at Realto back then..... After hearing Sara's side of the story, Lara went into despair because she lost the Daggers to the cult members who just raided her mansion. Sara then questioned Lara, "When the WitchBlade meets the Scions, both will destroy one another. But what if the WitchBlade meets the Dagger of Xian as both are Seals of Destruction?" Lara then lifted her head with full of excitement. "I don't know but I'm going to find out. Sara, would you please help me to get the Dagger back .There are a lot of weird people out there and I alone can't "handle". Besides, your WitchBlade's reaction can direct me to the Dagger's location ." Knowing that she only has two days off, Sara turned down the offer. But somehow Lara convinced her and Sara made another call to Jake to extend her visa on the basis of going to Venice for a tour with Lara.
Immediately, Lara packed light and left the baggage in a private Helicopter with Sara. In Mid-air, Lara then asked her friend. "I guess the reaction between two Seals of destruction will soon be known to both of us."
Transferred to another private plane, they soon reached Venice in Italy. Sara was still a bit reluctant but somehow the WitchBlade was excited about meeting its Mate. Soon after they have checked out of the airport, a well-suited Latino guy came forward. Sara had her pistol ready in her pockets and when he reached for his briefcase, Sara pointed her gun at his face. "Wo... why the guns, Ms. Croft? I thought we had a deal" Lara then laid her gun down and explained that he was her' Arms' man. Carrying their necessary baggage, they hopped onto a jeep and left. At the back of the jeep, Sara opened up the briefcases left by the Latino guy and to her surprise, it contained a M-16 with lot of clips. Opening another briefcase, there were Uzis and Magnum, Shotguns, Harpoons and Grenade Launcher. She looked at Lara and asked if they were going for World War 3. Smiling, Lara mentioned that the cult members were a lot tougher than she expected.
Approaching the cult members' hideout, Lara got into the usual dress pack with 2 handguns by her side and a shotgun around her shoulders. Inside her baggage were 2 spare Uzis, flares and other strange stuff. Lara then helped Sara to dress up, throwing away her lousy revolver and equipped her with Magnums and etc. Giving her the M-16, they moved into the hideout. The WitchBlade's tentacles were directing them as it leaded. Along they killed a lot of people bringing men down on their knees. Slowly they approached the Main room. As they enter, they saw Kent Irons with the Dagger of Xian.
"Lara Croft, I believe it's your curiosity that brought Sara here. Thanks to you I can now possess both the seals of destruction." Then a weird aura surrounded Kent Irons. Sara thought she was set up by Lara, but when she picked up her Uzi and started shooting at Ken. Sara knew she have to stop Ken first. They both fired their best Weapons and it didn't stop Ken. "Use your Weapon, Sara. Destroy him!!!. By the way, you will always be my Best Friend and never will I betray you." Just then, Ken Laughed and said she was wrong! He fired those projectiles at Lara and she was holding the Dagger at Hand and went Berserk. "Sara, you too want to know how the WitchBlade would react with the Dagger, right? Here's your chance. Kill Lara." Next, Lara Attacked Sara with the Dagger. Knowing that Lara was out of her mind, Sara equipped on her WitchBlade and defended herself. Trying to talk some sense to Lara failed. Suddenly the Tentacles of the WitchBlade touched the Dagger merging both Lara and Sara into one, trapping the two powerless ladies. "Finally, those powers are mine!!!" Ken Irons shouted aloud. Then all the energy goes into Ken's body making his hand Grows again and His eyes Glows.
Lara then replied that they have to stop him or else Apocalypse will happen now. The Girls tried to control the Weapons and finally a greater power erupted from the ladies and they succeeded. The anger of the ladies is tearing Ken apart and he blew up. Definitely that was not the end of Ken. Picking up the dagger, both ladies smiled to each other. Finally they knew what would happen when two seals of destruction met. "I don't wanna see more than two seals in action in future." Said Lara. Back on the jeep, Sara asked again, "How did you know Ken Irons, Lara?" "Another time perhaps,Sara. But this time at your place, OK?" Then laughing, the two good friends set off for home into the sunset.
