Loading Up
|
The dagger will not be a viable weapon against the hordes of cultists, so you need to arm yourself. Anyhow, you finally get to find out what's in that closet. Conveniently, you already have the key to it this time. The moment you set foot in the gun closet, enemies will arrive. You won't have time to get everything, but being that you're unarmed, should be able to quickly identify the most crucial item. By the way, you can't use the dagger on yourself. Too bad, eh? | ||
Ammunition Economics
|
There's a limited amount of ammo to be found in this level, and that's all you get. The weapons cheat will not work on this level. Be very sparing with your ammo use. Keep in mind that dogs go down with one blast and thugs with two, only if they are within close proximity. Since these enemies can't hurt you from far away, let them get close to you before firing to maximize the effectiveness of your only weapon. The enemies will not be carrying much, so don't count on them to be any help. | ||
No Privacy
|
The first enemies will already be in the house and will charge into the bedroom if you wait around long enough. Although cultists carry guns, they are still best dealt with up close and personal. They will not fire on you if you are very close. | ||
Invitation to Die
|
Lost more enemies are waiting on your front lawn. If you go out there they will surround you. Maybe you should invite them inside to sit. | ||
Crash and Burn
|
I don't generally comment on technical difficulties, but my game crashed every time I got down to my last three kills on this level and it seemed like I was never going to get to finish this game. I have read in the newsgroups that the same has happened to others too. The solution is to install the latest version of Microsoft's Direct X drivers and whenever the installation program prompts you for whether it should install its driver (instead of keeping the old one), you should answer "Yes". After installing the latest version of Direct X and rebooting, load up your saved game and when you reach the point the game normally crashes, avoid running around the rest of the mansion and grounds, and stay in the areas in which you know there are enemies. If you're having trouble finding the last of the enemies, read below. | ||
Showdown

If you're having trouble locating the last of the intruders, take a left upon exiting your front door. It's dark over there, but that's why you have two boxes of flares at your disposal. The last of the enemies are along the side of the house and near the beginning of the assault course. | ||
