As I was saying about the wonderful Incan ruins, well, here's your chance to see some of them first hand. Now that you've got your exercise running around in the caves, it's time to do a little archaeology.
Sights to See |
This is a much better example of the ingenuity of the ancient Incans.
Their mastery over stone work can be clearly seen in the structures
that they are able to erect. The architecture is quite amazing, and
you can see a glimpse into their every day lives, as a few common
objects, such as animal skins, stables, troughs, chairs, and various
vessels have survived through the centuries. I hope you packed your swim wear, because along with all the other sights, you'll get to take a dip in their pool. The water is a comfy 40 degrees F, but you'll hardly notice the temperature of the water because you'll be too busy looking for another air hole before you drown. Beyond simple construction abilities, they appear to be quite adept at building sophisticated contraptions with levers that unlock and open doors. You know by now that they are able to somehow propel darts using some sort of pneumatic contraption that has survived time. Once again they show that they definitely aren't particularly fond of visitors to their little city. There are booby traps all over the place, and guess what? Apparently, you're the boob that's going to set them all off. |
||
Local Fauna |
There are still bats everywhere, but they are no big deal as you have already discovered. Also indigenous to the city are wolves. Lots of wolves. Lots of wolves all gathered around in the same place just waiting to swarm you and have you for lunch. And this time there's two bears, but this time they're not safely tucked away in a pit. They're mean and they're fancy free, so look out.
Hidden Treasures |
The secrets are not as easy to spot here. In fact they are so out of the way that you could leave this quaint city and never even have seen the entrance to two of them, though you can spot the exit to one of them. Look around carefully and explore all your possibilities.
Hazards |
Well, you now know about the wolves and the bear, what else is there to worry about? Well, there are traps: more darts and some swinging blades. And this time you will be doing a lot of climbing. Getting back down is the hard part. Look before you leap. |
