Tomb of Qualopec |
Items: 8 |
Secrets:
|
Kills: 8 |
This is actually quite a small level in comparison to the others. Here are a few things to consider when in the tomb.
First Things First |
At the beginning of this level, it's not a bad idea to scope out your options. [Un]Fortunately they aren't many directions to choose from. To your left, there are closed gates... can you tell how many from here? Straight ahead is a ramp that ends in another closed gate... hey what's that rumbling sound and what's that behind it? and To your right could be a doorway... I wonder how to get it open.
Bowling for Lara |
You should definitely follow the above advice early on this level
rather than leaving it for the very end, because there'll be enough
things falling on you without having one more thing to worry about.
If you did follow this advice, you will find that this is the first of
many Indiana Jones boulders you'll have to dodge. Here's some things
to keep in mind:
|
||
Surprise!
|
So, you've found a lever cleverly camouflaged by some intricate stone work, eh? Oh look, throw the lever and it opens the door, just as you suspected. What's that thumping noise? Before you panic, think "shotgun".
Open Says Me!
|
You know there's three gates, you see there's three passageways. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure the rest out. Start with the passage to the right. It gets trickier as you go from right to left.
Red in the Face |
What a dead end? You should know better. One of these blocks isn't the same, and it isn't the one sitting in the middle of the room. But the fun doesn't end with just that one block. Speaking of things that don't look the same, one of these floor tiles looks kinda funny too doesn't it?
Where the Sun Don't Shine |
Okay, you should be a pro at spotting fake floors by now. What do you think are your options here? First of all, just because it's a trap doesn't mean you have to fall for it without checking it out. Secondly, even if you do fall for it, it isn't all that bad.
Hey, Bird Brain
|
You're looking for the last lever, you turn the corner and low and behold, a big room and a lever. You know that in general, you should throw every lever you see, right? Wrong! Big advice: ignore the first switch you see. If you throw it right away, you will only make your life more difficult. You can use it when you need it later.
Dying to Stay
|
Now, if you've gotten what you came here for, then it's time to leave. Just because the ceiling missed you in the throne room doesn't mean it doesn't get a second chance. And now that you've gotten your little treasure, what makes you think anyone's gonna let you keep it? |
