Sights to See |
Welcome to the Temple of the Cat. This complex structure was built by
ancient Egyptians that worshiped cats. Locked within its walls is are
mysteries that none have beheld in centuries. These cat worshipers
were rumored to have obtained the secret of a cat's nine
lives. But those are just the romanticized wives-tales of the local peasants. Until you found the temple, they thought it was merely a legend. Within temple, you will find marvelous bas relief, strangely beautiful cat statues, images of long dead pharaohs and walls covered with hieroglyphics. Perhaps the magic is true, but you'll have to find that out for yourself. Do be warned of one thing: One of the legends the local folk speak of was the ability of the ancient Egyptian magicians ability curse an area of sand or ground. They say that merely stepping on such places will result in instant death whether you have one or nine lives. You may have had some experience with this before. |

Local Fauna |
Within and around the temple, you will find the same creatures as you did earlier in the city of Khamoon. Creatures you will encounter include a couple of crocodiles, some panthers, and plenty of panther mummies. | ||
Hidden Treasures |
The first secret is easy enough to spot, but somewhat hard to figure out how to obtain. The next secret will be obvious if everything else is not. The third has been hidden in a place you are not likely to go, and the final secret will require significant work to obtain. | ||
Hazards |
The primary hazard will be all the traps that have been laid for you. The temple is a tall structure full of nasty beasts. Watch your step and look for clues in the markings on the ceilings, floors and walls. | ||
