Offshore Rig
Items: 31
Kills: 20
In a bit of sticky wicket, are we? Locked in a cell and stripped of your weapons. This situation seems oddly familiar, doesn't it? I suppose that's what you get for being stowaways. Can't get away with climbing aboard and hiding under deck this time, but it seems that you'll be taking a little nap whether you wanted to or not. Anyhow, when you awaken, you will find yourself on the Offshore Rig.
Sights to See
This place is definitely not well suited for tourism. The accommodations are cramped, housekeeping is terrible, and there isn't even a good restaurant to speak of. Well, what did you expect? This isn't the S.S. Queen Mary, this is just an old ocean rig out in the middle of nowhere. At least you don't have to worry about this place crawling with tourists.

We're not sure what the exact purpose of this particular rig is. There doesn't seem to be any oil to be had in this part of the ocean, but there are plenty of steel oil drums lying around the rig. In fact, someone really ought to straighten up the place, or someone might get hurt from all those oil drums just lying around. Anyhow, while you're here you might as well have a tour of the place.

The first thing you'll notice is that this rig includes a large hanger that houses a sea-plane. Aside from that particularly interesting feature of this rig, this offshore rig isn't much different from any other. You've seen one, you've seen 'em all.

Like most modern rigs, this one is equipped with all the latest gadgets, which include security cameras and monitors, tempered glass windows which do not break as easily as plate glass, a high-tech security system with alarms, and a sophisticated electronic pass card lock-entry system for sensitive areas of the rig.

Be aware, that this large offshore rigs need to be secured in case they take on water, so you will encounter some heavy bulkhead doors which seal watertight when shut. Don't worry, with a little elbow grease, you will manage to get these doors open. And being an offshore rig, there's plenty of water to splash around in, just be careful when swimming around, because the water is circulated with enormous propellers, and getting caught in one will definitely lead to a gruesome demise.
Rig Workers
The rig workers will remind you a lot of the creeps in Italy. Some are armed with rifles while others are only armed with billy clubs. They are just as belligerent as the henchmen in Venice, if not a little more so, and like their land-lubbing counterparts to use dobermans as guard dogs too.

A new face to see on the offshore rig are scuba divers. Sure, just stay away from the water, right? Well, these guys are armed with harpoons and they are quite willing to surface to fire of a few at you, so be careful. They can be quite hard to fight while underwater, even if you are armed with a harpoon gun, and if you plan to try picking them off from above the water, you should note that they can dive deep underneath the water to make it hard for you to get them.
Souvenirs
There's a few things you'll be wanting to pick up while you're here are the rig. First off, being that you were relieved of all your weapons, the first thing you'll want to do is located and pick up your trusty sidearms. Although that's the most important of your armaments, you'll probably be wanting your shotgun and the automatics back, and there's a harpoon gun lying around that you will probably not need around the rig, but you'll definitely be glad you have later on. Along with all that, there are three pass cards you'll need in order to get around the rig.
Hidden Treasures
As far as the secrets go, the first two just require you to take a little detour as you make your way through the rig, though the second detour seems quite long. The last secret will be placed in a plainly visible place, and involves another detour.
Hazards
Great ways to die early in your visit to the rig, involve getting beaten or shot to death while you're still unarmed. Be careful when swimming around, not to get sucked into a big propeller and when sliding down long ramps without knowing what's at the end. Aside from those things and the usual aggressive enemies you'll come across, there isn't much else to be said about the rig. Just be careful of those steel drums sitting on top of ramps. These rig workers are pretty careless.
