Tibetan Foothills
Items: 31
Kills: 33
This is what happens when you book flights with unknown airlines. Let it be a lesson to you to use a commercial carrier next time. But now here you are in the Tibetan Foothills short of your final destination. Might as well take in the sights. You have a long hike ahead of you.
Sights to See
Welcome to Tibet. We hope you brought some warm clothes, because at these heights of over 4,000 metres above sea level, it's pretty cold and snowy this time of year. In fact, air temperature in the summer rarely exceeds 16 degrees Celsius, but those that enjoy the great outdoors will love this tour of Tibet. Because of the high altitude, we would recommend that those who have heart conditions or high blood pressure not to travel in Tibet.

Except for one or two luxury hotels in Lhasa, which is the capital city, accommodations in Tibet is fairly basic, but also quite inexpensive.

The best way to enjoy the breathtaking scenery is to rent a snowmobile to tour around on. It's much easier than walking. Just drive safely, as even the most seasoned snowmobilers have been known to drive off the edge of a cliff. Be sure to bring sufficient clothes and food, as they are very scarce once you are outside the main tourist cities. Be aware that such trekking is not officially allowed, though nevertheless it is possible. If you get caught you will have to pay a fine of 500 Chinese Yuan.

Feel free to do a little spelunking [cave exploring] during your stay. Some of the ice caves are natural wonders. Just be careful not to cause any cave-ins.
Local Fauna
Indigenous to this region of Tibet are snow leopards and hawks. Keep in mind that snow leopards, unlike Bengal tigers, tend to occur in prides or packs.
Mercenaries
Concurrent with your visit is a mob convention. There are lots of gun-toting mercenaries milling about too. Some of which are tooling around on their custom snowmobiles. Best to stay clear of these lewd fellows.
Souvenirs
There's a snowmobile for you to ride around early in your travels, but there are two essential keys that you need to pick up. The first will gain you access to the second.
Hidden Treasures
If you have eyes to see, then you can find all three secrets. In fact, you'll have multiple opportunities to pick up two of them.
Hazards
The greatest hazard will be sliding your snowmobile off a cliff and plunging to a fiery death, so be careful with that thing. The next most common cause of fatalities are run-ins with mercenaries, particularly the ones riding snowmobiles. Aside from those two things, there are some icicles and icy boulders, that are very easily disturbed, to watch for.
