|
As fascinating as the inside of the Maria Doria is, you're probably tired of being all cooped up inside this stuffy ship. Perhaps you're in the mood for some fresh air. Well, not exactly fresh air, perhaps the air in this unusually huge pocket of air under the sea is a little stale, but you'll have an opportunity to stretch your legs as you step outside the ship onto The Deck.
Sights to See |
Visitors to the Maria Doria never really grasp the size of the ship
until they have seen it from the outside. It's a shame that the ship
broke into several sections and each, while sinking, came to rest in
different orientations, but disregarding that fact, you will now have
an opportunity to look around the outside of this immense
ship. You've seen the mid-decks, but now you will get a glimpse of the upper decks and stern of the ship. This open deck area catered to passengers who enjoyed the ocean air, feeling the sun on their and the smell of salt water, as they relaxed aboard the Maria Doria. The experienced will be somewhat diminished for you, in that this entire area of the ship is now embedded in a rocky cave under the sea. This is your final tour of the ship, and there isn't much left of the ship to show you. Be aware that you are now on the upper decks, and be careful, as most of the safety rails have rusted away or broken off, that you don't fall off the upper deck. While you're examining the ship, don't forget to stop and note the incredible rock formations and this unusual air-filled cave under the sea. Don't let your guard down, because the local ocean life as found its way inside, so be wary of what's in the water. |

Local Fauna |
Nothing as exotic as the sea snake living down here. Just a couple of sharks and barracudas. Keep in mind, though, that most fish tend to occur in schools, and these fish are no exception, though their schools may be smaller.

Down here are the bulk of the salvage crew. The guards are all well armed, and thus carry shotguns or flame throwers, and the rest of the salvage crew is carrying tools, which they'd be more than willing to abuse by using it to bludgeon you. Always keep a wary eye for unfriendly crew.

|
If you have not located all the secrets of some of the previous levels, you will have an opportunity to add the grenade launcher to your arsenal here on the deck. Don't know why any one would just leave it lying around. You will also find a few areas behind locked doors, so you will require a few keys, however keep in mind that the first door you come across can only be opened by the last key you pick up, so expect a significant amount of running around. Finally, recall your conversation with brother Chen, your real objective is to collect the coveted "Seraph".
