The Deck
Items: 35
Kills: 30
Start this level by readying pistols and facing right. Wait a few moments before running forward, and a flame thrower (1) will eventually show up at the far end of corridor. Take him out while jumping backwards to avoid his flames. After he's down, run forward past where the roof ends and a thug (2) will appear from the right of the deck. Dispatch him quickly from the hallway, and then run forward collect a small Medi Pack (1) from the dead thug.
Grenade Launcher
Run forward and turn right and run across the deck. Turn right when Lara reaches the other side. In the corner, Lara will find either grenades and the grenade launcher or two sets of grenades (2, 3) depending on whether or not the grenade launcher is already in Lara's possession.

Turn around and return to the hallway Lara started at. To the right are two openings that lead to a cavern with a pool below. Take a dive into the water below, keeping in mind that this is another great opportunity to perform that fancy somersault dive. Immediately, swim to the left and surface and pull up out of the water. Turn around and ready weapons to kill two barracudas (3, 4) that are swimming around in the water.
Stern Key
Turn left and vault onto the ledge above and walk forward along the right side of the stony ledge to step up to the next ledge. Continue walking to the corner, and turn right. Take a standing jump up over the slope to the ledge above. Walk forward and slide down the slope on the other side. Walk forward and boost up to the alcove set in the rocks and pick up the Stern Key (4).

Turn around and drop back down to the ledge below. Turn left and dive into the water. Swim down to the bottom of the pool and to the left. Near the bottom, there is a tiny underwater passage that Lara can squeeze through. Swim forward and turn right. Continue swimming forward until Lara reaches an underwater passageway to the left. Turn left and enter the passageway, and swim upwards until Lara can surface for air.

Turn right, move forward by treading water, and pull up out of the water. Ready pistols and take out a wrench toting thug (5) that will be charging towards Lara. Run forward, to the other end of the compartment, and turn left and walk out onto the mound of sand. With guns still readied, slide down the other side of the slope and another flame thrower (6) will emerge on the right. He should be fairly easy to take down, as he first runs away from Lara before turning around to attack.

Run forward up the mound and turn left to find a stack of crates to the left. Push the first crate once forward and then climb on top of it. Run forward and push the upper crate forward once as well. Now, hop backwards until Lara falls off the crate and pull the lower crate back into its original position. Climb up over this first crate and drop down the other side. Turn around and push this crate once. Now turn around and pull the lower crate once to reveal a doorway.

Climb over this crate and drop down the other side. Turn left and pick up a box of flares (5). Use the stern key to open the door. Enter the doorway and run forward down the slope. Drop into the water below and swim forward. When Lara reaches the end of this passageway, make a hairpin turn to the right, without entering the next passage, to find an underwater lever. Pull the underwater lever to drop a platform somewhere. Turn to the right to swim back to to the surface.

Exit the water, run forward back up the ramp. Upon exiting this room, turn right and climb onto the crate. Ready weapons and take a standing jump forward onto the next crate. A rig worker (7) is hiding ahead and to the right. As soon as Lara locks onto him, take a jump back to the previous crate. Repeat the jumps forward and back, taking a back flip to the higher crate behind if Lara needs a place to hide, until the rig worker is dead. Drop down and climb back up onto the ship and collect a box of shotgun shells (6) from him. If Lara hasn't picked up the shotgun yet, she will obtain them here instead of shells.

Turn right and run forward until Lara is on top of the trap door, which will open under her weight. Turn left and run forward to the other end of the tunnel. Climb up the ladder and shift to the right and let go. Throw the lever to drain the underwater room Lara was in earlier of water. Drop back to the floor, back across the tunnel and turn right at the other end. Climb up the ladder and exit the ship.

Run forward and turn left. Run forward to the doorway and now that the water is gone from the room, walk to the bottom of the ramp and safety drop to the floor. Run forward, along the left side of the passage, to the end of the passageway and turn right to enter the next room. Ahead and to the left is a crate. Pull it out twice.

Run around the crate and enter the tunnel that the crate was blocking 1. Run forward and turn right to the end of the tunnel. Jump and pull up to find that Lara is now a cave behind a rusty propeller. Turn around and run forward toward a pool with a yellow life raft floating in the middle.

Now run forward and when Lara is ankle deep in the water, take a jump to land in the deep water. Swim forward and to the left. Waste no time, as there are enemies in the water. There will be a rocky outcropping with a couple of crates on it. Surface in front of that ledge and exit the water. Immediately ready pistols and take a running step forward. A thug (8) will emerge from behind the crates. Turn right to face the thug and open fire when he's in view. Take a back flip away from him when he gets too close, and Lara will land on the rock slope behind her. Keep the jump key depressed to jump over the thug, and reverse in midair or when Lara lands to face the thug. Take another back flip and a jump to the right and if Lara has been firing all this time, the thug should be dead, and Lara should be unharmed.

Turn and locate the two scuba divers (9, 10) in the water. Kill them from the ledge. If they are too far away to lock onto, Lara can try using the M-16's. After they are both dead, Lara can safely pick up the two pairs of Uzi clips (7, 8) from behind the crates. If Lara is not carrying the Uzis she will receive a pair of Uzis in place of one of the sets of clips. Run around the crates and dive into the water.
SECRET #1
Swim downward toward the underwater vegetation. Amidst the aquatic plant life is SECRET #1, the stone dragon (9).
Swim toward the left back corner, which is the same side of the room the ledge with the crates is, and swim down to the bottom. There is a small underwater tunnel that leads to another pool. Swim through the tunnel and immediately swim upwards and to the left. Surface and exit the water quickly, because going through that tunnel alerted a barracuda (11) of Lara's presence. Turn around and ready pistols to kill it.

Turn around again and run forward. A tunnel will go off to the right, so turn right and follow it. Continue following the tunnel as it spirals up and to the right. When Lara reaches the next right turn in the tunnel, which is streaked with white granite stone, she should ready pistols. Run forward and turn right. A rig worker (12) is in the next tunnel. Jump forward, and to the sides, bouncing off the sloping passageway to avoid the rig worker's gun fire. After he's dead, take a standing jump forward over the slope and collect a box of shotgun shells (10) from his body.

Continue forward past the tunnel that leads off to the left and in the darkness as the tunnel continues upward. The tunnel will crest, and then drop down the other side. Enter the next cavern and stop. Pick up the large Medi Pack (11) on the left. If Lara is not in perfect health, use a Medi Pack to completely heal her now. Safety drop down the hole to land on the rubber raft below, taking an enormous amount of damage. It should now be apparent what that large Medi Pack was for. Use it now.
Cabin Key
Drop forward to the lower crate and pick up the Cabin Key (12), and then turn right and drop to the raft and pick up two sets of harpoons (13, 14). Ready pistols and look around the water. Kill the two sharks (13, 14) that are swimming around in the waters around the raft. After those two sharks are dead, walk around the raft and face the ledge with the two crates. Dive into the water, swim across to the ledge and exit the water at the ledge.

Turn right and walk along the water's edge. Step up onto the slanted rock and continue forward until Lara reaches a slope. Ready pistols and take a standing jump up the slope. When Lara reaches the flat area above, look down into the water to find a third shark (15) lurking around below. Kill it from this ledge, then continue forward. Drop down to the rock ledge below, and turn left. Take a standing jump over the pool to reach the area Lara came up before.

Turn right and follow the tunnels rightward spiral up. This time when Lara reaches the junction of the tunnels, turn left and enter the other tunnel. Run forward into the darkness, along the right side until Lara reaches the wall. Turn left, jump and pull up to the ledge above. Run forward again and pull up to the next ledge.

Make a hairpin turn to the right to reach the lower ledge. Turn left and vault up to the next ledge. Turn left again and boost up to the next ledge. Turn right and climb up to the next ledge. Run forward and climb to the next ledge. Run forward, turn left, and climb up to the ledge ahead. Run forward, up the dark tunnel until Lara reaches the end of the tunnel that overlooks the deck of the ship.

Safety drop out of the tunnel and drop to the upper deck of the ship below. Run forward and climb out of the lower area. Draw weapons and wait for a rig worker (16) to appear. Kill him and run forward down the the corridor directly ahead of the cavern Lara dropped down from. When Lara passes the two doors, that are opposite one another, a thug (17) will climb out of a pit ahead. Stop him by back flipping back down the corridor while firing. When he's dead, collect a box of flares (15) from the dead thug. Continue to the end of the corridor, and turn left. Run forward, and drop down to into an area to the right just before reaching the bench and pick up two sets of grenades (16, 17).

Climb up out of the pit and turn right and continue past the bench until Lara reaches the steps down to a lower part of this upper deck. Turn right and walk down the steps until Lara hears the clicking sound of a thug (18) toting his wrench that has been alerted on the deck below. He will climb up from the other end of the deck. Ready weapons and run forward to meet him. Open fire while back flipping away to take him out.

Position Lara near one of the vents, which is a grey block with a steep slant. Hop back and hang from the front of the deck. Immediately pull up and run forward, getting away from the edge and the enemies below. Turn left and run down the steps, staying away from the right edge of the deck, and ready weapons. Turn around and another thug (19) will climb up from the other side of the deck. Kill him using the same technique as before. Now run up the steps to the upper part of the deck and turn right after passing the first vent. Look around below to locate a flame thrower (20) that waiting below. Ready weapons and kill him from above.

When he's dead, safety drop to the lower deck from the lower balcony on the left. Lara is now on the upper mid-deck. Run forward, and climb up into the alcove in back left corner are some Uzi clips (18). Turn around and drop down to the deck. Continuing across to the opposite side of this level of the deck, Lara will find a crate in the other corner. Climb on top of the crate and run forward to step down into an alcove in that corner. Pick up the two sets of M-16 clips (20, 21) there. Turn around, run over the crate and drop down. Ready pistols and head for the pool. Kill a barracuda (21) that is in the pool.
SECRET #2
Standing near the wall, looking into the pool, Lara will notice a strange panel in the near right side of the pool. Stand in front of the pool there on the right side and take a dive into the pool over the area of the pool directly in front of that panel. The panel will open as Lara dives across it. Swim forward and exit the water on the other side. Run forward, ready pistols, and reverse. A scuba diver (22) will emerge from the tunnel behind that panel, so kill him and then drop into the pool. Swim forward and to the left into the tunnel and collect SECRET #2, the gold dragon (19). Afterward, flip turn and exit the pool on the left side.
Run forward toward the bench on left side of the corner of the pool. Ready weapons and turn left. Step forward carefully and try to look over the edge of the deck to the lower mid-deck below. There is a rig worker (23) running around somewhere below. Kill him from above.

Turn around and run to the left out the narrow part of the deck that has another bench. Walk over to the right side of the narrow deck and safety drop to the deck below. Turn around and walk forward and to the left to the outer corner of this deck. Turn slightly to the left to spot a flat ledge protruding from the deck below. Take a running jump to reach it. Walk across that ledge and when Lara reaches the end take a running jump and grab to reach the steel structure ahead. When Lara pulls up, the camera will zoom out to give a panoramic view of the large gap below. Turn right and walk to the highest point on the steel structure, and turn left and take a running jump over the gap to the rusty hull of the ship's stern.

Run forward across the hull of the ship, being careful not to fall off the other side. When Lara reaches the other side of the hull, turn left and walk forward until Lara reaches a flat area. Back up one block and turn so that Lara is facing away from the edge of the hull. Hang off the edge of the hull. If Lara is in the correct location, there should be a crevice directly below her, if not, shimmy to the side to correct her location. Release the upper edge of the hull and grab the lower crevice. Shimmy to the left until Lara can pull up2.

Walk forward and turn left and walk to the edge to face the cave wall. Ahead and slightly below is a small ledge that leads to tunnel, which is all hard to really see. Take it as a leap of faith, and take a running jump squarely off the hull of the ship to the ledge.

Run forward into the tunnel and turn right. Run up the slope as the tunnel zigs left and right until Lara reaches a larger cavern with a slope. Run to the left side of the room and boost up onto the first flat ledge. Walk forward and to the right to the upper corner and take a standing jump to the next flat ledge. Walk forward and to the right and take another standing jump from the corner to the next flat ledge.

Turn around and take a standing jump up to the next flat ledge and then turn right and face the top of the slope. Ready weapons and a jump up to the top of the slope. Two thugs (24, 25) will emerge from ahead. Open fire, and slide back down to the bottom of the slope and even hop back down the tunnel if necessary to get away from them, but try not to kill them while they are on the slope. Collect a large Medi Pack (22) from one of the dead thugs. Now have Lara make her way back to the top of the slope.

At the top of the sloping cavern, continue running forward, up to the the tunnel and turn right to find a large opening that faces the upper deck of the ship. Walk out to the end of the ledge and turn and face slightly to the right. Take a running jump and grab to reach the top of the ship cabin roof. Run forward across the roof, and when Lara reaches the other side of the adjacent rusty orange structure, turn left. Take a running jump across the alley over to the top of the opposite cabin.

Ahead is a trap door. Take a standing jump over the trapdoor to open it, then hop backwards to drop into the darkness below. Draw pistols and take a step forward followed immediately by a hop back until Lara's back is against the wall. Look down the hallway, to see a thug (26) approaching. Fire while jumping up and down to avoid his blows and kill him. Now proceed forward into the darkness, and light a flare to improve visibility. Turn left and run forward to collect two sets of clips for the automatics (23, 24) from the alcove in the corner. Lara will obtain a pair of automatic pistols in place of a set of clips if she isn't already carrying them. Back out of the alcove and turn left and head underneath the orange structure down the hallway.

Turn right and run down another hallway, and finally turn right again when Lara reaches a wide corridor. Run forward to the block that is recessed in the right wall. As Lara approaches the block, the door ahead will open automatically. Pull the block out of the wall, and then run around to the right side and pull it once away from the corner. Run back around the block and enter the alcove the block was in and throw the switch to open a door to the other structure on the upper deck.

Now reverse directions, ready weapons and run forward through the open door turning left. Immediately back flip down the alley, as a rig worker (27) appears. Kill him from the far end of the alley, then run back and collect two sets of automatics clips (25, 26) from him.

Turn around and run back down the alley, away from the door that Lara just exited from and turn right. Run forward to find the door that the switch just opened. Enter the doorway and turn left. Light a flare and approach the dark corner where Lara will find two M-16 clips (27, 28). Lara will find the an M-16 here in place of one of the pairs of clips if she is not already in possession of the M-16.

Turn around and run back to the cabin door. Use the cabin key to open the door and then walk inside. Once inside the cabin, turn left immediately. Light a flare if necessary to see. The floor ahead is all broken tiles covering lethal shards of glass, so run forward along the left side of the cabin until Lara reaches the opposite wall. The floor will drop away behind her. Press the button on the left wall to open the door that's opposite the door she came out of earlier, and then turn left and take a running jump and grab to return to the other side of the cabin.

Turn right and exit the cabin, and continue forward to exit the structure. Ready pistols, and a thug (28) will attack from the right. Kill him and turn around run back to the alley, and turn left to head down the alley. Turn right to enter the doorway and then turn right again to run up the stairs. Climb up the two blocks and then turn left to enter the cavern.
Storage Key
Turning left, run forward up the rock tunnel, and turn left again and continue until Lara reaches the end of the tunnel. Make a hairpin turn to the left and vault up onto the rocky step. Reverse and walk to the edge of the rock step. Take a standing jump and grab to reach the rock column ahead. Pull up and reverse directions. Take a running jump over the cavern to the cave above. Walk forward and safety drop onto the orange structure. Collect the storage key (29).

Turn right and walk forward until Lara slides off the orange structure onto the roof of the cabin below. Drop off the cabin roof onto the upper deck and turn right and head for the front of this deck. Drop off the lower part of the ledge to the upper mid-deck. Head diagonally to the left out toward the protruding part of the deck with a bench.

Safety drop off again the right side of that deck to the one below. Turn around and again, walk forward and to the left and aim Lara at the platform that protrudes from the deck below. Take a diagonal running jump to that platform and walk across the platform to take a running jump and grab to reach the grey steel structure. Turn right and walk to the highest part of this structure.
SECRET #3
Ahead and to the right is a small cave with lots of broken glass. Rather than try to jump to the ledge with the dragon, take a running jump and grab to reach the crevice to the left of that ledge. Shimmy to the right and pull up. Walk forward to collect SECRET #3, the jade dragon (30), and four sets of grenades (31, 32, 33, 34). Turn around and walk back to the opening of the cave. Walk off the edge, and take a minimal amount of damage from the glass, to drop to the deck below.

Turn right and kill the two flame throwers (29, 30) below from this deck, then turn left and head across the deck to where Lara entered this level. Turn left and run back down the hall. Climb up into one of the window and dive into the water below. Swim down and to the right to enter the small underwater tunnel. Swim into the tunnel, turning right, then turning left to exit the tunnel. Swim upwards and surface at the base of the ship.

Run forward, dropping down off the ship to the dry ocean floor. Jump over a small ridge to run along the left of the rusty stern of the the ship. Pass by a shallow pool of water, that leads to a cave opening that is blocked by the propeller, and turn right and run up the slope. Take standing jumps up the slope where it gets too steep to run3.
The Seraph
Approach the concrete bunker that is set into the cavern wall. Use the storage key to open the door and go inside. Collect the Seraph (35) to complete this level.

Footnotes:
  1. Some owners of the Sony Playstation version of Tomb Raider II have noted that there is a second crate located inside this tunnel. The crate can be pulled once, after which there is no way to continue further. This has been duly noted as a bug, and if you experience this bug, then the only way to continue is to use the skip level cheat. You are encouraged to exchange your copy and/or contact Eidos regarding this problem.
  2. If you read the general hints, you may have learned the trick in which Lara can hop backwards off a ledge, press the action key briefly as if you wanted Lara to grab the ledge, but release before she does. Lara will fall onto the ledge directly underneath the first ledge. This trick apparently can be used here.
